As a professional ski instructor and life coach, I ski for the same reason that I do everything else; which is to become a better person through the practice of mindfulness.
Mindfulness in skiing is a very powerful way to eliminate deep-rooted confidence issues such as fear, doubt, anxiety, worry, tension, nervousness and negative memories from the past; all of which are the root causes of poor technique and lack of enjoyment.
