Portillo is a ski resort in Chile. It offers around 20 km of marked pistes served by 13 lifts. The skiable terrain rises from 2580 m at the base to 3310 m at its highest point, a vertical drop of 730 m.

Portillo’s pistes break down into 10 km of easy (blue) runs, 4 km of intermediate (red) runs, 6 km of difficult (black) runs. With a high share of gentle terrain, it is a forgiving mountain for building confidence.

Beginners and families are well catered for here, with plenty of nursery and blue terrain to progress on.
Season and snow
Topping out above 3,000 m, Portillo is among the more snow-sure resorts and often enjoys a long season. As with any resort, snow cover varies year to year, so it is worth confirming conditions close to your trip.
