Nozawa Onsen is a ski resort in Japan. It offers around 45 km of marked pistes served by 16 lifts. The skiable terrain rises from 565 m at the base to 1650 m at its highest point, a vertical drop of 1085 m.

Nozawa Onsen’s pistes break down into 22 km of easy (blue) runs, 13 km of intermediate (red) runs, 9 km of difficult (black) runs. With a high share of gentle terrain, it is a forgiving mountain for building confidence.

Beginners and families are well catered for here, with plenty of nursery and blue terrain to progress on.

At a summit of 1650 m, conditions are best in the heart of winter; check recent snow reports before booking. As with any resort, snow cover varies year to year, so it is worth confirming conditions close to your trip.
