The Post-Office has just released its annual Travel Money Ski Report, and many good-sized Italian resorts have hit the top rankings, offering prices on par with Bulgaria, but with higher mountains and larger ski areas.
- Price falls in all six Italian resorts surveyed made them the best value for UK skiers among the ski ‘big four’ of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland
- Italian resorts take five of the top 10 best value places for families, with Sauze d’Oulx and Sestriere scoring highly with adults and families alike.
- Swiss resorts were the most expensive, with totals in Wengen, Saas Fee and Zermatt each exceeding £1,000 for adults
